Hi, I haven't been posting very much because posting to weblogs always ends up last on my list these days.
BUT, I'm happy to say I'm still keeping the project going. Only stuff from 2010. That includes LCD Sound System, that Janelle Monáe album (that I can't decide if I love or hate), Sleigh Bells (of course), Titus Andronicus, She & Him, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, The National, Yeasayer (surprisingly, I didn't like this album at first), Quasi, Fang Island, Four Tet and now I just started listening to the Black Keys on rdio.com.
SPEAKING of rdio.com I have an invitation that goes to the first person who actually still reads this weblog. Mail me or post in the comments if you'd like it.
Also, I'm always up for recommendations. Have I missed something?

Oh, and I liked this Local Natives album that I, too, found on Rdio.

Favs so far this year are Rufus Wainwright, The Bird and the Bee, Scanners, Patty Griffin, and the ubiquitous Vampire Weekend. I keep hearing stuff from Motion City Soundtrack I like, even if it's embarrassing. Plus, the minimal Gaga-ish Little Boots, which was a UK release in '09, so sorta cheating, but not out in the US until this March. Highly excited to hear Grace Potter and Sharon Jones this weekend.
Uneven efforts from Turin Brakes, Laura Viers, Shearwater, Hole, Corinne Bailey Rae, Juliana Hatfield, and Sade. OK Go was meh. Anna Eriksson & Marina and the Diamonds were both bad, IMHO.
Still haven't listened enough songs from Watson Twins, National, Dead Weather, Jonsi, Erykah Badu, Goldfrapp, Frightened Rabbit, Yeasayer, Beach House, Husky Rescue, Shout Out Louds, and both Black Keys and Monae.
http://rateyourmusic.com/customchart is a good tool to find under-the-radar good new LPs from this (or any) year, but the site slants heavily metal, so you might want to filter that genre out (or not). I also troll http://www.amoeba.com/music/new-releases/2010-june.html weekly, which is ridiculously one of the only backwards-looking release calendars.

Forgot one: Here Lies Love, from David Byrne & Fatboy Slim. Because it has so many different vocalists (Tori Amos, Cyndi Lauper, Roisin Murphy, among others) sometimes I don't even realize I'm hearing it.

Well, aside from the stuff you already mentioned... Have you heard the Chap album ("Well Done Europe"), or the Dom album ("Sun Bronzed Greek Gods")? They're both really good. The new Fall album is also pretty good. The Sharon Jones and Kings Go Forth albums are good. I also really love the Quadron album.

I'm not sure if anyone has begged for the rdio invite yet? If not, "hi there"
